EDUCATION

Welcome to the Golden Dragon Museum, the ‘Chinese Cultural Centre of Australia’. The museum opened in 1991 to document, interpret and preserve the Chinese heritage in Australia.

Come, enjoy and learn about the Bendigo Chinese. Experience the Bendigo Goldfields from the past to the present. See the colourful display of the 'living' collection of the Chinese Dragons and their associated regalia used in the annual Bendigo Easter procession, to help raise funds for the local charities since 1871.

We provide personalised tours in a range of topics including Chinese symbolism, Social history, Goldfield history and of course, our much loved Chinese dragons.

We also offer a special tour for VCE History Revolution students which can serve as a great introduction to their VCE studies on the Chinese Revolutions.

All Museum and Garden tours are approximately 1.25 hours. Alternatively, we can arrange tours to the White Hills Chinese cemetery at an additional cost.

All of our programs and tours are provided in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and we can tailor our tours and programs to meet your schools requirements.
