YI YUAN GARDENS
The Yi Yuan (Garden of Joy) was a joint project between the Bendigo Chinese Association Incorporated; the City of Greater Bendigo; the Federal Government; the Victorian State Government; and the City of Baoding (Hebei Province, China).
Featuring classical Chinese architecture, the buildings around the garden serve to compliment the natural beauty. The architecture and construction is strongly influenced by the gardens in the Summer Palace in Beijing, China and there are many similarities from the colour scheme to the subject and style of the artwork.
Entry to the gardens is include in the Museum's general admission ticket.
