Guan Yin Temple Closure

The Guan Yin Temple will be closed for refurbishment from Sunday 14 February until Late July/August 2021.  With the support of the City of Greater Bendigo, the Temple’s refurbishment includes it being painted inside and out, the two large trees at its entrance being pruned and its interior being generally refreshed.  Some general maintenance will also be undertaken at this time.

In closing the Temple for this exciting project, the Bendigo Chinese Association will undertake cultural rituals and observances to honour and pay respect to the Goddess.  Once the refurbishment is complete Golden Dragon Museum in association with the Bendigo Chinese Association will hold celebrations marking the Temple’s reopening.  These important celebrations will be a public event and more information will be provided nearer the time so that members of the community may attend.

The Golden Dragon Museum and Yi Yuan Gardens remain open over this period Tuesday – Sunday 9.30am – 5/00pm.

观音庙将于二零二一年二月十四日星期日关闭至四月中旬，进行整修翻新工程。在本迪戈市政府的支持下，观音庙的整修包括内外粉刷，入口处的两棵大树的修剪以及庙内的翻新。一些维修工程也将在此期间进行。

这是一个令人兴奋的项目，本迪戈中华工会将在观音庙关闭之际，举行传统仪式以尊重神灵。一旦整修完成，金龙博物馆与本迪戈中华工会将举行庆祝活动，以标志观音庙的重新开放。这些重要的庆祝活动将成为公众活动，届时会提供更多相关资讯，以便市民参与。

此期间，金龙博物馆和怡园于星期二至星期日上午9：30至下午5：00照常开放。
